Summers in North Carolina are a bit of a nonchalant thing for me. While I can appreciate all the cheerful, vibrant surroundings filled with lush greenery, the humidity and heat are definitely something that can be avoided if possible. That’s why Fall is a season that seems to fulfill all my desires, which other seasons fail to convey.
This year when things have been quieter in my life, I have been able to stop and experience the changes in the seasons through the beautiful life of flowers from my garden, from my neighborhood to the ones in our local market. My observation has been so precise that it led me to create several flower arrangements, which I grew so fond of that it felt wrong not to keep them forever. So I thought to myself? “How can I keep a fresh flower bouquet eternal and everlasting”? The answer was simple! Through my paintbrushes, and yes, also through my camera lenses to capture that moment as an inspiration. But a painting would bring life and character to the entire arrangement, which perhaps the camera won’t be able to do. So, I deep cleaned my paintbrushes, palette knife and the paint palette, and set off to create this beautiful collection of warm, rustic florals to bring the nature a bit closer to me and ease my mind with peace.
I sincerely hope, this collection brings joy and peace to your dwelling as well. The palette of some of the florals ranges in colors, but mostly contain that dried brown effect here and there that portray the Fall surroundings. But I have also tried to balance out the effect by using cooler tones, such as softer pinks and whites so the bouquets can be cherished all year long. Each piece contains a bit of a simplicity as well as elegance, so you can display them in any way your heart desires.
COLLECTION PREVIEW
This collection includes Six Acrylic Paintings on stretched canvases ranging in sizes from 16x20” to 18x24”. Four of the paintings are in deep 1.5 inch profile, and two are in thin 0.75 inch profile. I have included a natural pine wood frame (built in house in my studio) to go with the thinner canvases, but that can be an optional purchase.
